This blog post is for little Miss Sofia Abigail. I spent Sunday afternoon, and evening, at her beautiful home for a newborn session. Sofia was 40 days old for her newborn session. 90% of newborns, for me, are photographed by day 10 in order to get the curly, sleepy images that melt the heart. Miss Sofia had different plans in mind! She was born around 6 weeks early. In fact, if all had gone according to plan, she would have been only 4 days old during her session. Since Sofia is a preemie, photographing her nearer her due date, instead of birth date, is standard practice.
Baby girl fought us for three hours. She wasn’t crying and wasn’t awake, but wasn’t in a deep sleep either. After spending 3 hours in a 90 degree room, she finally gave it up and went into a deep sleep, much to her parent’s delight. And all four hours were worth it. Just take a look!
