366 Adventures | Days 4 – 23

Posted on March 3, 2012

3 Weeks | 366 Adventures Days 4 – 23

So, I’m behind in blogging our adventures already! We managed to have some sort of adventure every day in the last 3.5 weeks since the last blog post, and most every day (less 2?) even has a photograph, primarily with my iPhone, to document the event.

Part of embracing every day for a year means prioritizing and blogging all of our adventures every day, or even every week, takes up some of that precious time with my littles. The kidlets have had a long few days and are taking a much needed, and lengthy, nap so I have a few minutes to string together and update our ‘Adios Mommy’s 20′s’ diary.

Sooo… what did we do?

  • Day 1: Pillow Fight
  • Day 2: Bug Hunt
  • Day 3: House Framing
  • Day4 – 23: Valentine crafts, Hair cuts, Restaurant manners, Costume creating, Midnight snacks, Crackers stacking with Lucy, Birthday party crafts, Reiken’s bouncy house party, Shotgun safety, Bathroom remodeling, Markers + Canvas, Spanish numbers at La Palmera, Coffee date, Momma got new hair, Jeeping in the animal field, Movie snuggles, Trapper hats, Mission trip shopping, Quiche, & Play-dough dentist

You can always tune in on my Facebook page for the latest updates!

Sneak Peek… {growing} Sloan

Sloan v2.0 | Newcastle Baby Photographer

Sloan is back and better than ever! We’ve seen her a few times; during her mama’s GORGEOUS maternity session at Discovery Park in Seattle and then again for her sweet newborn session. She’s back today and is five months old and all kinds of amazing. And cute. And chubby.

And long suffering.

We put this baby girl in 6? 7? different outfits and sets. Her mama is MY kind of client. All kinds of frothy, frilly clothing, themes, props, and ideas await me at their home. I. LOVE. IT. Everything is a little over the top and completely adorable. Just like Miss Sloan. Check her out!

Sneak Peek… {4 days fresh} Ari Gray

4 days fresh | Edmonds Newborn Photographer

Meet sweet, little Ari Gray. He was a teeny peanut at 4 days old for his newborn session. I was blessed to be the first to hold him aside of mom and dad (and hospital staff) and am completely honored that Luke and Annamarie trusted me so much! We do have history… engagement and wedding photos a few years back and then their most recent shoot, baby Ari’s maternity session but I was still blown away that I had the chance for a few hour’s worth of snuggles when he was still so NEW. He was a complete angel and did fabulously. I look forward to seeing him again!

Sneak Peek… {newborn} Colston | Eastside Newborn Photographer

Colston | Newcastle Newborn Photographer

Meet snuggle bug Colston, the firstborn of Kristen and Franco (whom you’ve seen before at their ah-maz-ing  maternity session,) and little brother to a teeny little furball. Colston had his newborn session on his eleventh day of life and he was a sweet little snuggler who definitely appreciated the ninety degree room his session took place in. Kristen was also with me in the ninety degree room for three hours and was a real sport about it. I’d have to say all the sweat and little accidents from baby C were worth it. Check out his images below!

Sneak Peek… | {6 months old} Kingston

Big, big boy | Everett Baby Photographer

6 months have passed already? I can hardly believe it! First, the maternity session. Then, a newborn session. Now, he is back for a rolly, polly celebration of his half birthday! Kingston took a wonderful early morning nap for his session last Saturday and was more than happy to be poked, prodded, moved, propped and changed for about 35 minutes. Then, this little chunker got a little sleepy and was more than ready for snuggles.

I can’t wait to see him again soon! Enjoy!!

House Framing | 366 Adventures Day 3

Posted on February 12, 2012

Son, here is how you frame a gabled wall.

In 26 days, Jeff and I leave for Roatan. Kids go to my in-laws, cousin comes to house sit and watch the dog, and this husband and wife duo go to a third world country to build two homes for some amazing folks. Today, we payed up our final dollars in the $4000 bill to go serve others for a week (thanks again to all those that donated to our cause!), had lunch, and then did a mock-up framing exercise. R wanted little to nothing to do with us and preferred to rest on his laurels indoors with my iPad.

Many nails were harmed in the making of this blog post.
