We rocked it.

Amy and I, that is.  Her belly session is hands down one of THE best I have ever done. The images are perfection. Amy was a great model and I nailed it. (Yes, I am tooting my own horn a little but I am just SO EXCITED!)

A little background… Amy’s family and mine are inescapably entertwined. My hub’s parents are very good friends with Amy’s in-laws. They met at childbirth class when my MIL was pregnant with hubs and Amy’s MIL was pregnant with her daughter. Later on, Jeff and I rented a MIL apartment from Amy’s now hubs. My MIL now does the books for Amy’s MIL’s businesses: Main Street Kids Childcare and City Kids Consignment.

So, anyway, during our session I was pleased as peaches to not only meet a new client to to make a new (yet old) friend. And her pregnancy images ROCK. I’m sure you will agree…. Enjoy!

This baby girl may not have slept but 10 minutes of our 2.5 hour session but she did not cry or squeal once. She was an absolute cherub! Very awake and alert at 15 days but a complete joy. Parents, Dr. Jason and Dr. Marisa were on hand for our get together and were the best cheering squad a 2 weeker could ever ask for.

The best thing about this honey girl? Her skin! I did not have to retouch her lovely roses and cream skin AT ALL. No joke, no hyperbole, no exagerration. I took care of a little milk mouth but that was it. Her downy blond hair was a close second favorite and big blue eyes a not-far-behind third. The session summed up in one word? A pleasure. A special request… Dad is Canadian and a former rugby player.

One of the best ages to photograph? 6 months!

They can sit, smile and have little personalities! Remember Vivienne? I first had the honor of photographing her during the maternity session for her mama, Veronica,  and then again a few weeks later for her newborn session. Well, she is back, chunky and sitting up all by herself! This little charmer has bright blue eyes and a sneaky little smile that is too cute. She did great considering it was just before nap time and I look forward to seeing her again in a few months for her one year session. Enjoy!

Meet Stella Lorraine. She is the sweetest, teeniest little dreamboat of a baby girl.

It is no big secret that the last few of my (completely amazing, wouldn’t trade them for the world!) newborn sessions have been with wide-eyed curious little things which can make my job (if you can call this amazing ride a job,) more challenging. I was beginning to think I was losing my touch! All the worry was for naught as Sweet little Stella reconfirmed my baby whispering skills. She was asleep the. whole. time. and did AMAZING. Great job, baby girl. You are a star.

I met her on her one week birthday, just yesterday. She is daughter to Jaime and Josh and sissy to Aidan and Caleb. She is also an auburn haired little Irish spitfire, all 6 pounds 12 ounces of her! She stayed awake for me for 3 hours; there was no way she was missing out on her first, of many, photo shoots. Of the 3 hours she was the star, there was suprisingly little crying. She did a great job and I’m sure took quite the nap after I left. Enjoy her shots!!

Hello, baby…

Meet Kellan! I had the pleasure of meeting him on Monday for a newborn session. He was just over three weeks and was very interested in the whole process. After 2.5 hours of cuddling, eating, patting and rocking, he finally gave up the ghost and fell into a lovely little slumber.

Kellan’s mama, Carmon, received a gift certificate for a photo session as a baby shower gift. I can’t imagine a better present to receive at a baby shower! The onesies, boppys and diapers will all run their course and be disposed of, handed down or sold. But the gift of newborn pictures is one that Carmon, and daddy Ken, will hold on to forever. Just one week old and already smothered in love and kisses.

This is little Miss Aspen Alexis and the title of this blog post just about sums her up. All 6 pounds and 20 inches of her (what a teeny thing she is!).

She may have been born April 1, 2010 but, let me tell you, this little peanut is no April fool! She has already got her daddy wrapped right around her little finger! And grandpa too!! Mommy Monette loves her too but in that ‘we’re the girls of the house’ kind of comrade way in addition to the natural new mama-ness.

It is amazing to think that just a few short weeks ago Miss Aspen was a mystery (I was banking on a boy) during mom and dad’s maternity session and now she is out in the open, a loud and proud, here me yelp and coo little girl. Amazing! Check her out…

One year old + cake + free reign = absolute cuteness!

Thanks for checking back! Debuting today is Emma’s first birthday cake smash photo session series… Let me tell you, she handled that cake like no other 12 month old I’ve ever seen. She was the best! She demolished her cake in under 5 minutes. Then she was even nice enough to share some with kitty Milo. Enjoy her sneak peek!

Hello, sweet baby blues.

Meet Emma; a quick movin’, Cheerio chompin’, just-turned-one-yesterday squishy chunk of sweetness. And then check out her cornflower meets stirred-up-ocean blue eyes. Ah-maz-ing. I did not do anything to enhance the color of her eyes at all, those are all her and I have to say I’m quite jealous.

My eyes are blue. Quite similar to Emma’s really. Which works considering Emma is my cousin Tony’s daughter and Emma got her blue eyes from him and Tony got his from our grandpa which is where I got mine . (Follow that?) I’m just jealous for my hot cocoa brown-eyed boys! With those eyes, Emma is going to be a heartbreaker for sure.

Emma had a one year/cake smash/family session all wrapped up into the tidy package of about 90 minutes. She did great! The sneak peek for now is only the one year/family photos. I’m still working on the cake smash and hope to post that later today or tomorrow so check back later for more Miss Emma. Enjoy!
